Our office provides teeth whitening in Downtown Calgary to help you become more confident in your smile. With so many options available for both in-office and at-home teeth whitening near you, it can be difficult to decide what’s best for you.
Zoom!® In-Office Whitening is safe, effective and very fast. In just one hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter. In some cases, you can see up to eight shades difference!
The Zoom! light-activated whitening gel’s active ingredient is Hydrogen Peroxide. As the Hydrogen Peroxide gel is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin, bleaching colored substances while the structure of the tooth is unchanged. The Zoom! light aids in activating the Hydrogen Peroxide and helps it penetrate the surface of the tooth. A study has shown that the use of the Zoom! lamp increases the effectiveness of the Zoom! gel by 33% or more, giving an average improvement of eight shades.
If you prefer to whiten your teeth at- home and at your own pace, we also offer custom made trays and whitening gels. To start this process, one of our hygienists will take impressions of your teeth to create custom take home trays. After you receive your trays, you’ll be given the whitening gel with the recommended strength of carbamide peroxide which is the active whitening ingredient.
If you opt for at-home teeth whitening near you, when you get home, you’ll add the whitening gel to your custom fitted trays and place them over your teeth for a specific period of time to get the shade of white you desire. As the whitening gel dissolves, oxygen enters the enamel and the dentin portion of your teeth. This process lightens stains on your enamel, and the results are usually seen within the first week.
We are dedicated to providing you with customized treatment and will collaborate with you to create your individualized dental care plan using our dental services near you. We will use an array of technology to help you visualize and optimize your oral health. Emergency and urgent dental care are also available to treat issues such as dental pain or sudden trauma.
